I turn on the television. You see them in magazines and on the big screen. Celebrities are everywhere. Celebrities tell me this and celebrities tell me that. Actors are paid good money to pretend and I wonder if it could be the same for my marriage. Meatloaf means it’s Wednesday. Most days it’s the same food. The Man of Straw Alva stirred the pot as she gazed out of her kitchen window at the white surroundings, clear sky and frozen ground. Tall trees grew heavy with the weight of snow on their branches. Yoga in Mexico Great, he's here! I unrolled my blue yoga mat taking time to smooth out the curls at the ends. I glanced about the studio and gauged the female talent. Not one that could compare to this body, that's for sure. Lesser beauties that fell short to my man-devouring body. I could see these lesser women would fall about tonight as they lacked my yoga talents. My elegant, cat-like body could stand on one toe and still look sexy as all hell. All of these women were beneath me. Ha! Hilda had turned up again. Hilda, who was the sum of too many powdered doughnuts washed down with a diet cola, lumbered into the studio.

My Bio

Dion J Crowe is a successful writer with numerous short stories published in magazines and online. He has won the Literature Little Brothers Short Story competition and has had three short stories narrated by actors.

He has given talks at various mental health organisation including a talk at the annual Sanity Fair event, an event to raise awareness about mental illness in Australia.

When it comes to writing, Dion’s main topic of interest is the human condition. Dion lives through the character in a style of writing he calls, 'Method Writing' where he delves deep into the emotions of a character to create a realistic portrayal of a characters psyche.

His first anthology is called 'In Dark Times' published and was published by Australian Digital Publisher, 'Really Blue Books', before the company closed down. The paperback version published through Lulu.com.

He has recently released another anthology titled, 'Clouds Part Hearts Shine.' The book is about people overcoming adversity to find their one true love. It's funny and touching at the same time.

Both books can be found on Amazon.com in paperback and ebook formats.

Dion is also creator of the Slog (Sound Log) blog format. It is his way of reaching readers who have visual or hearing impairment. You can find his Slog's at the provided link.

Back on Deviantart

Well i'm back on Deviantart again after a long absence. My previous long time journal entry is no longer true. The publisher I was with had to close down so I've gone back to self-publishing which I kind of prefer as I have more creative control. I have released a new anthology called, 'Clouds Part Heart Shine' which is anthology about characters overcoming adversity to find their one true love. It's funny and touching at the same time.
